I haven't looked at it. I thought of replacing the whole EGR plate with one but not sure if I could get one just to place between the carb and the EGR plate that is thick enough to work but thin enough to keep the carb low enough for my hardline to still work. I forgot my truck has a threaded fuel filter with a threaded hard line. Not like my Mercury's 2150 that uses a short piece of hose to connect.
I will just rebuild this carb and then go from there. While I was idling at Jack with the A/C on the longer it idled the rougher it ran in gear and started to surge a little. Moment I left and started driving when I got home idled smooth. Everything keeps pointing back to fuel delivery problems and considering the age of the carb I guess I should just focus on that first then go from there.
well my kit came in but now I do not know if its the kit I ordered or not. The numbers don't match up on the kit. Like wise this kit has a two stage power valve. Carb I have has a single stage and I would use a two stage if its better but would have to naturally find a taller power valve cover which I doubt you will find.
So looks like its going to be another week till I get my carb rebuilt.
~Update~
Well its the right kit, thing is though it talks about an Aneroid assembly and the exploded diagrams have a huge chunk of iron off the back of the carb that mine does not have. Looks like I just wasted $70 on a kit I cant return cause I opened it already to check the instructions.
So looks like its back to the drawing board to figure out what to do now cause I don't have a powervalve this kit came with a two stage which means I have to find a new power valve cover and I cant find a tall cover.
