Electric windows anyone?

Way back in 1972 my dad modified his 1960. Too many details to list, but I am trying to replicate what he did on my new 60.

One of his modifications was installing power windows. Has anyone done this? I see in the LMC catalog that they have a power window kit that you can buy. Anybody have any experience with this kit. I have also seen where some have eliminated the wing window. Where do you buy the replacement one piece window at?

This is the kit I think would work best and require the least (actually no) modification other than switch placement.

I want to use them with window crank style switches, but am not sure those switches can be sandwiched between the door and electric regulator. I think it depends on how deep the mounting screw bosses are, and no one at A1 has yet been able to answer that question. These are the switches I have in mind:

Pay no attention that they are listed as Chevrolet. The multiple posts allow for many uses.

I used to see threads on Fordification asking how to eliminate the wing windows. Never understood that. It's one of the things I missed most when the industry saw fit to eliminate them.
