Looking at a 1961. Trying to determine if the truck began its life as a 4x4 or is a conversion.

Hopefully tag pic is attached below

Winner!

I'll let ND decode the whole thing, but the F11 at the beginning of the VIN says it was a factory F100 4x4.

This PDF demo of the 61 shop manual should help you out. Might take a bit to load. Page 5 starts the ID info.

Warranty Plate decode.

When the post is quoted, the pic of the Warranty Plate disappears.

Bill, that will happen to pictures "attached" thru the FTE software, when a person uploads a pic directly to a post.

If a picture is hosted somewhere else, then it will show up in a quoted post.

So, say for instance you use Photobucket like I do. When someone quotes a post with a link to a picture that is hosted outside of FTE, then that link will also be quoted, and the picture will show.

Pictures attached to a specific post via the FTE software feature will not show up in a quoted post.

I thought one had to be an FTE supporter aka club member to use the FTE software. The OP isn't.

The only pic I've ever posted on FTE was just after SteveBricks died. It was taken of Steve & I at BJ's Brewhouse by ctubutis.

Not anymore. It's a feature open to any user, member or otherwise.

Thank you again for all the feedback. I made an offer on the truck but we are 2K apart so we will see what happens. Solid truck - was painted a brown metallic and rust was repaired at that time - frame looks good but as far as the owner knows engine has never been rebuilt nor has any of the rest of the driveline - so 5,000 seems right to me
