Ok I'll admit that this is kind of a hank way to fix it but have you thought of mixing up some epoxy adhesive and basically gluing it back on? Tape it down with that green Gorilla tape to put some pressure on while it cures.........or take the TG off, turn it upside down, pour the epoxy in (easier this way) and then let the weight of the TG put the pressure on.
try 100% silicone, sticks too slick surfaces excellent, they use it to glue up fish aquariums,, run as much under there with out making a mess as you dare,,, put a weight ,on a board or similar, wipe off excess that may run out, dry until cured, works,,, used it, on a friends dodge, fell off after 3 months , then we siliconed it,, still on 4 years later
