1966 F250 decode
I'm very excited to start the rebuild and have found this site to be extreamly helpful so far.
Here is the VIN and data plate numbers
F25YK874843
129 BM F250 U81 A 24
07500 172 4000 62
I have been able to decode everything from other posts except for the 62.
Does anyone know what this means?
Thanks for the help.

.
The earliest title that I know of was in Mississippi from the mid 80's untilearly 2000's where it was used as a work truck for small painting company. AfterKatrina the painting company went under and the truck has been sold twice toguys wanting to restore it, neither one did anything to it except change fluidsand run it occasionally. The truck wastaken north during the hurricane, thank goodness.
There is quite a bit of rust and rust through spots, but for being in thesouth for most of its life it is in really good condition. Most of the majorcomponents are original so far as I can tell. Carb, Trans, Engine, Brakes. I’llcheck all the numbers from the tags when I get a chance. Everything is coveredin grease but that’s better than a dry truck down here. There are a fewdealer/RV ad-ons, a switch and lines for an additional tank in front of therear axle on the driver’s side and an over sized bumper.
The original seats are there but no console. The carpet over the fuel tank is long gone and the carpet on the floor isthere but pretty nasty.
Below is a picture from when I bought it and the tag from the carb. It was left outside for about the last year and the tires/rims shown arejust to get it on a trailer. The originalrims are gone so I’ll have to track some down.
If anyone wants some additional pictures just ask. I'll be posting more as I get everything appart.
