Driving along and I heard a lot of noise under the hood, sounded like parts falling apart. Pulled over and looked and I didn't notice anything. I went back down the road and found this in the dirt
I see where it goes but it looks like a bracket is missing. Thanks for any help
Vacuum reservoir, bolts to top of passenger side fender liner wth 3 nuts. That one has only 1 bolt left but realistically that's probably all it needs to stay in place.
Ah that would explain why the ac went to defrost Thank you very much. Am I right to assume one line goes where my finger is and the other to the white connection on the right with the chewed up line?
Maybe, maybe not. You'll need to see what is still in use and what needs to be eliminated. Right there in the pic is your ESOF vacuum solenoid for your 4x4. If you are still using it you need to keep it in the loop. If it's not being used you can eliminate it and go straight to your HVAC system from the tank.
What you have your hand on there looks like the vacuum pump. It should be hooked straight to the tank with one hose and that hose that's torn up is probably the one that should hook to the other connection on the tank. It should have a splitter on it going to that solenoid and over to the HVAC system. Someone will probably be along with a diagram for that system. Is your ESOF 4x4 still hooked up or do you have manual hubs now?
