Super Duty testing in Denver
My first reactions:
1) That truck looks way lower to the ground than all other images I've seen. Maybe it's just the angle that's causing it to appear low. Hoping for a nice tall stance on these, and it's been reported that the 17 sits a good 1-2 inches higher.
2) The white-gold...a real bust IMO. Flat color with no personality.

Flat?? Are we looking a the same picture. I just saw the White Gold with some sun shining on it and it wasn't flat.
Color is such a personal choice, no reason to debate it. My own personal opinion is that Ford dropped the ball on white-gold. There is no "white" to the color whatsoever. I was hoping for something more metallic, with some shine and movement, similar to the Tri-Coat white but on the gold side of the spectrum. Instead we got a tan-gold that (again, my opinion) is boring, dated, and flat.
Yep...I agree...they missed the mark with it. My biggest reason for saying that is Ford has the resources to do SOOO much better with the paint colors. Just makes me shake my head sometimes. I'm not asking for 50 different shades...but come on...add a few more!!! I saw White Gold and my first reaction was they "renamed" Pale Adobe.
I think PFG said it best - color is a very personal choice. Obviously the shot taken through the windshield was not going to flatter that color much, and the truck pictured was pretty dirty from testing use.
I'd call the color a very light champagne.

It has a solid front axle with taller springs designed to lift the nose off the pavement. In the rear, the spring blocks may be taller, but even the rear of a 2WD truck sits up pretty high these days.
As troverman said the solid front axle and differential housing require additional room under chassis plus the increased height allows better off road clearance which most 4 wd users seek.
Most of the time test trailers like that are loaded with solid steel blocks. Max weight in the smallest space, easy to load and unload. A 1ft block of steel is 488# Or 6"x4'x4' is about 3900
