Question...02 ruff idle
I have a 02 Ranger XLT 3.0l 2 wheel drive. when sitting at light, or what not it seems to idle a lil ruff like it maybe time for a tune up, I asked the dealer about since I only had had it at the time 3 days, and the mechanic stated that it was the engines computer adjusting the idle back and forth to allow it to be more fuel efficent. I haven't heard of this little gas saving miracle and am curious to see if this guy was yankin me around to get out of giving it a tune up to go along with my new tires they had to give me. Any comments would be deeply appreicated

I've read a lot about the infamous 3.0 V6 rough idle. Some people say that there is a problem with these engines that Ford won't admit to and some people say that it is normal for them to idle rough. Mine has a stumble at idle as well but otherwise runs fine. I wish that there was someone out there that had this problem and solved it so I could try something besides throwing random parts at it.

Glad to hear, that I'm not the only one haveing this issue, it wouldn't be to bad if I had duel exhuast since then I could play it off, but that rumble made me think something was wrong, So looks like I'll have to get used to it then if this seems to be an issue with most of Ford's 3L V6s. Thanx for the heads up
