I'm having a tough time finding a King Ranch F150 without a 36 Gallon tank. I found one, but although it has the Class IV receiver, trailer brake controller, and 7-pin connection, it does not have ANY trailer package. The only benefit I can see is the auxiliary transmission cooler. Is this really needed? I'd never tow at capacity of 11,100, and run a Scan Guage that I watch the trams temp. Thanks!
I would think twice about the 36 gallon tank. I love mine. If I find a good price I'll fill up. If not just top off. I know there is a weight issue if the tank is full. But you don't need a full tank all the time.
As for the trans cooler it can't hurt. It has a thermostat so it only circulates fluid when needed. I'd go for the truck you like.
I think it's better to have and not need, than to need and not have...
I recommend doing a custom order and get exact what you want. That's an expensive trim level, so make it perfect. I'd rather wait 6-8 weeks for a perfect truck than settle (and that's what I did).

I don't think this truck exists.
If it has the factory brake controller, it most certainly has the towing package. Meaning it has the auxiliary transmission cooler.

If the sticker is missing the $895 trailer tow package option, it does not have it. I have been through this mess after purchasing my truck working with dealership, regional rep and Ford customer service. ETIS will probably show that it has a medium duty tow package. This is NOT the tow package listed in the towing guide.
Medium Duty Tow Package (you have a Class IV hitch)
Heavy Duty Tow Package (called Trailer Tow Package on the window sticker)
Max Duty Tow package (includes all the standard stuff plus upgraded springs, tires, higher capacity wheels and 9.75 rear end plus HD bumper on 3.5l Ecoboost)
You can configure a F150 with two different options to get the Class IV hitch:
1. Order the Trailer Tow Package ($895)
2. Order the Electric Trailer Brake Controller ($275) without the tow package. You get the Class IV hitch in this configuration too.
Here is what you lose without the trailer tow package:
1. Upgraded front stabilizer bar (does not cost much ~$60)
2. Heavy duty radiator (not mentioned in the tow package literature)
3. Auxiliary transmission cooler
Look down through the hood latch assembly. If you see an aluminum bar running across the top in front of the AC condenser, it has the aux cooler and in turn the tow package. It also has two circular cutouts at the base spray shield for the transmission cooler lines

The radiators are the same. This is from the '16 Order Guide:
There is only one radiator listed for the F150, and it goes into all engines with all towing packages, and that's FL3Z-8005-A.

Two different radiators FL3Z-8005-A (~$280) and HL3Z-8005-C (~$450) online. I have the second one on order right now after several weeks of waiting for Ford to make a decision on my truck's setup. I have crawled under 7 different trucks on dealer lots to verify the setup and take pictures of engineering part numbers from the factory for cross reference.
Here is the parts list to add towing package to my truck:
HL3Z-8005-C HD Trailer Tow Package Radiator
FL3Z-5482-B Upgraded front stabilizer bar
FL3Z-7A095-A Auxiliary transmission cooler
FL3Z-7B142-A Bracket
FL3Z-7B028-P Aux. transmission cooler tubing
FL3Z-7B028-K Aux. transmission cooler tubing
I can't find anything on that part number, nor anything to back up the claim that the radiator is different. Not saying you're wrong, but this isn't making any sense to me. That part is showing no applications on any of the sites I've checked, including Official Ford Parts Site | Buy Motorcraft & OEM Ford Parts Online | FordParts.com.
Curious to see what this thing looks like when it arrives. If you tell me where to find the part number I'll take a look at mine.

Regular: Two transmission cooler lines run from the transmission cooler (6" x 6") and thermostat located on the cross member across the lower back side of the radiator to the driver's side.
HD: Two transmission cooler line run under the radiator and up in front through the splash shield cutouts to connect to the auxiliary transmission cooler.
-Run my VIN and pull part numbers
-Run an identically configured truck with tow package except for minor stuff and pull part numbers. I repeated this process several times with different trucks.
-Parts provided a printout with all the parts needed to upgrade.
If I use my VIN alone, it excludes the HD towing package components in the parts listing because they are not on my truck. Compounding the problem, the catalogs available to us do not provide the full part numbers and many of them are identical in the last 4 numbers.
