1999 F-550 7.3 powerstroke fuel in exhaust
Having trouble with motor, driving home one day heard a noise under the hood. Then a lot of grey smoke started coming out of exhaust. Got the truck hauled home notice fuel was coming out at the number 7 cylinder at exhaust port. Thought it might be the injector just put rebuilt ones in, thought I might have received a bad one. I switch the number 7 injector with the number 3 injector. Did not make a difference still have fuel leaking out of exhaust manifold at the number 7 cylinder and a lot of grey smoke coming out of exhaust. Not sure where to start looking next? Could it be the injector cup is the problem?

Usually when a cup is bad you get coolant leaking into the cylinder not fuel...
Or at least that's what I understand from it.

Rich, I think he is stating that raw fuel is leaking out of the head at the exhaust port of cyl #7 between the head and the exhaust manifold since it did not follow the injector swap.
To the OP, is this correct? If so, is there any fuel, oil or soot in your coolant in the degas bottle? Coolant coming out of the exhaust port?
Regardless of whether or not there is, a pressure test of the cup is in order even though this will not be a definitive test due to the fact that fuel could get into the cylinder if the cup sealing compound is compromised even though the cup could be intact but coolant would almost have to accompany it. Or, o-ring and copper washer failure on a single hole that is not injector dependent...deep gouge/scratch on the inside of the cup????? Otherwise, I think it gets significantly more expensive.

Yes that is correct.
Ok I will send video of it. I did diconnect that injector before I moved it did not make a difference still had fuel coming out of port 7. I will look at degas bottle to double check but I do not think I have any oil or fuel in it. I think it is only fuel coming out of exhaust port. Thanks for all your help.

Was able to get a photo of were the fuel is coming out of exhaust manifold at port #7 having trouble downloading video of smoke coming out of exhaust. Look at degas bottle and no fuel or oil in there.
