Front end noise
Hi. This is my first time trying to post something on here so be patient please. My 2005 F150 is making a thumping noise in the front end. It increases as speed increases and is more pronounced when turning wheel left and almost goes away when turning to the right. Sometimes at higher speeds I can feel it in the gas pedal. Seems to be coming more from the driver side but I could be wrong On that. Thank you in advance for any help.

It could be one of several things. Since it increases with speed (I assume you mean the frequency increases rather than the volume), it is most likely rotational. The first thing to check is the lug nuts on the wheels, especially the drivers side. Make sure they are properly torqued. Then work your way in to the differential (if it's 4wd). Lift the front wheels clear of the ground and rotate each by hand listening for any unusual noise while feeling for any catching as the wheel spins.

normally when the pitch changes because you turn a corner.... its related to the wheel bearing. ............ no change when you touch the brake pedal ? Checking tires are lug nuts first is a good idea as wrvond said.
