Hi I got a xlt and a message would come on saying under half, and keep warning you everytime you started truck. And me and previous owner would always top up the fluid after it said this message never had a issue in 115000 miles. But jow I'm deleted so don't have to worry about that garbage anymore.

Did you delete just the def or did you have to also delete the dpf?

Tre driver when you delete it always includes both the Def and dpf the one system. Then the extra option when deleting is to just plug off the egr or unplug the connection, or remove it totally, I removed totally as the shop I got didn't charge too much extra to do it, other shops wanted 3hrs labour just for erg delete. So far I enjoy the sound it sounds like s diesel now. And the no worries of the emissions system messing up. Last yr like few weeks after getting the truck I was on a road trip and my check engine light came on and I didn't have my code reader to clear or check codes, and I kept driving and all of a sudden I got a message saying stop safely now. So it totally shut me down and I had to get towed ect. Then I was always thinking of deleting as my mechanic friends say get rid of that garbage but I didn't want to spend the money ect. But this spring I started getting engine light again but now I Cary my code reader always so I can reset the light and not get shut down. Well the code said nox sensor and all the aftermarket places like napa couldn't get me the part couldn't even look it up had to go to ford for 450$ plus dealer wanted to run diagnostic at 110$-/hr. So I figured I be spending half or more of a delete on fixing a garbage system I mines well delete now so I did. I haven't gain much fuel milage as some do, but I was doing pretty good to begin with.

My new 2016 F250 is at 1777.7 miles and I was scrolling through system check and it said that the DEF is less than 50%. 2 weeks ago the DEF level said it was full. I will continue to watch level and wait until the 200miles to empty message.

Question. Do you fill up from a DEF jug, or at the bulk DEF pump next to the diesel fuel? If you fill up at the pump, how do you fill without overfilling tank without the goofy Ford DEF nozzle/hose?

Hi I filled up with jugs and once with the nozzle at the pumps, the pumps r like a regular nozzle so shuts off when gets the the nozzle. And my brother in law and me would fill the Def when it said under half and didn't have issues in 115000miles. I would be worried to let it go to 200 miles to empty that's cutting it close.
