Hey guys, Just went out to start my truck and all I hear is what sounds like the starter spinning but not engaging.
Truck has been running flawlessly with zero indication of any power issues. I dont think I left any lights or anything on lastnight. only thing I have done different than every other day is lastnight it was parked outside instead of in the garage.
I currently have a charger on each battery, Hoping that the simple fix is the fix. But aside from that, i have no idea where to start if it wont fire.
I havent had any starting issues, or any issues with anything all year, so I am pretty much stumped as to why its doing this. Battery were both bought new a little over a year ago, but they were cheapo Rural King Batteries. I just bought a new salt chlorine generator and a bunch of other stuff for my pool yesterday, so it would be just my luck after spending 400 bucks on the pool im gonna have to dump a bunch of money in my truck.
actually scratch the above, I just crawled under there and found that there is only one bolt holding my starter on. The top bolt is present, the bottom bolt is MIA and my starter is out about 1/8th-3/16th of an inch at the bottom.
