My truck is a 2011 has the dpf removed and egr disconnected and blocked off just not removed and I'm running a SCTx4 with deleted tunes from Rudy's(only use the tow tune as I frequently tow my 5er). The problem I seem to be having is my truck wants to die if I quickly let off the accelerator or just try to give it a little bit of throttle and let off(such as sitting in a long line and just trying to creep forward). This started after the delete/tune and is not throwing any codes does this sound like a tuning issue/have any of your guys experienced this or something similar. Any input/advice would be appreciated.
Hey shawn.snow. Sounds like something related to your changes. Was everything running okay before the delete? I have the Spartan setup....never looked backed. No issues, other than my wife can't keep me outa my truck lol!

Thanks Jimmy Yup truck ran great prior to deleting. Still runs great with exception of dieing upon quick throttle release.
Just wanted to provide an update. Contacted Rudy's and they had me get in touch with PIP who sent me a delete only tune with no performance enhancements to see if the issues still occurred. they did not, so it is something about the original tunes the truck does not like. We are working towards a solution.
Well it appears that my victory was short lived. The truck seems to be better with the 0 tune but still quickly dies. I have noticed that when trying to creep forward i will build up around 10 psi of boost as soon as I let off the accelerator the truck shudders and then dies.Any idea's or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am at a loss.
I would keep on Rudy's. This sounds very much like an issue with the tune. It sounds like the truck isn't getting enough fuel.
Andre I was pretty sure it was a tuning issue as the truck ran flawless before deleting. Now I am starting to wonder if something else is going on as supposedly the Level 0 tune that I am currently running for troubleshooting is 100% stock with exception of the DPF and EGR being ignored and I can still recreate the issue.
I will take a run at PIP again as Rudy's told me to contact them, the last response I got was if the issue occurred with the level 0 tune then they cant help me as its a truck issue not a tune/tuner issue.
Is it possible your filters are dirty? If it's not defueling or derating (which it wouldn't at a stock tune), then it might be starving for fuel. It's almost like it's getting an unreported code from a stupid pyro or something.

New Fuel filters as of 1500 miles ago and the ones I removed where fairly clean still. What I find even more confusing is if I just drive it normally(highway etc) and not try to slowly move up to a stop sign back up a hill slowly with the 5er it runs great and doesn't act like it wants to die.
Something is obviously not right. Sounds like air filters are plugged or fuel filters, but obviously that's not it. Intercooler/turbo boots on their tight? Sometimes they get loose and all sorts of weird things start going on. Without being there and having my hands dirty, I'm not smart enough to speculate whats going on for sure. You might need to visit the dealer and ask them to look at it. Some won't unless you put it back to stock. Good luck...

I didn't think to check intercooler/turbo boots I will give them a look. I try to stay away from the Local Ford dealer after they didn't put my 6.0 back together correctly and dumped 4.5 gal of oil on the ground in front of the dealership. However I may have to look for a different dealer.
maybe its time to get a FIAT Naw couldn't do that love the truck to much.
Just don't drive one...shhhh! They get mad when I talk about the Fiat. I did talk to a friend that recommended this shop: https://www.facebook.com/NWDSP/
I don't know them, but he said they know what they are doing. I think it might be close to you?
