I have an 88 F250 with a 351 EFI that I have been rebuilding for a while.I had to pull my distributor the other day and made sure that I put every thing back the way that it was.Do you think that the ole girl would start? Nooooo!I go through this every time I have to do this.I bring the #1 cylinder on compression up to 10 BTDC but it acts like it is way advanced.I try turning it back a very little at a time but if I don't hit it just perfect it won't start. It has to be easier that that. Please Help. Thanks Ron
Well, did you get it started at all ? If not, you may not be on #1 compression, you are on # 1 exhaust. Did you unplug the spout connector ? If you removed the distributor from a running engine and installed it back to the exact position the rotor was pointng before, you shouldn't have had a problem.
