I have a 1984 F-250 utility truck. I went to replace the turn signal switch, and well lets just say the Arizona heat got to me before I realized I dismantled the wrong plug. The plug I dismantled is a slightly curved plug with 7 wires on top and 4 on the bottom. Can anyone tell me what that plug is called so I can replace it. Right now my break lights, turn signals and hazards don't work at all. This truck was owned by water irrigators that knew nothing of trucks and have done so many things wrong to it that I am basically building a new truck. I have the 351W V8 5.8L engine with a C-6 trans. ( Some day soon I will be converting the trans to a E40D trans. But that is later down the road. Any help with this connector would be great thanks.
Does that truck have cruise control (aka Speed Control)? If so, there are 4 such half-moon-type of connections; if not, only two exist.
Regardless, I don't understand what you are wanting to replace; you need to remove the wires from that plastic connector to get them through the steering column and wire in the new connector correctly.
Go into Gary's "garagemahal", (1986 but should be close) under speed control on page 139. Connector 305.
Basically when speed control is used it just plugs between the 2 halves of this connector. Wiring should be the same. You will find all the wiring details you need in here but it is a little fun tracking down all the circuits.

If you have a good look at the connector the RED insert comes out and you can remove the pins by pushing the holding lug to 1 side with a thin screwdriver or flattened piece of wire.
In a different post someone had put a pic of the connector I needed but now I can not view it for some reason. I just need to know what color wires go in what slot so I can just bypass the connector all together. This truck does not have cruise control, and does not have tilt wheel.
