My 2002 V10 Excursion is almost at 141,000 miles, I got it in 2010 with 102,000 miles. In the last two years I've driven my new to me F-150 22,000 miles at an average of 12.5 MPG verses the 8.8 MPG of the Excursion, but that's not the reason why it's seen less miles. The F-150 is fast and has all the great creature comforts that a modern truck gives you and it spoiled me!
My dad's 1999 Explorer Limited V8 just rolled 42,000 miles!
The '72 Oldsmobile Delta 88 has 93,3xx orginal miles on it and the '69 Mercury Cougar has 78,4xx original miles on it...now that's low miles!
Wow! 8.8 mpg? I'm assuming you have a gasser. I just put 800 miles on my 7.3 pulling our 10,000# TT and averaged 10.5. I normally average 15+ unloaded with 18-19 on the highway
I'm sure living somewhere where winter beaters are a must for many months has something to do with your mileage counts
Come for a visit sometime, I'll show you what a fast truck really feels like. I walk my friend's intake, exhaust and tune 2014 5.0 F150 all day long. Only times he gets ahead are when I give him false hope and don't boost launch the pig Granted it doesn't have fancy features like your pamper-mobile does....
No winter beaters here, we don't salt but 4x4 is required.
those 5.0 F-150's are cute, I like my 6.2 much better though, even in stock form

V10 baby, love every gas sucking mile I put on it. I'm a bit of a lead foot too but yes about 8 MPG around town and 11-14 MPG highway both unloaded.
