Facelift plans and a window issue.

I'm planning on giving the Ex a facelift soon. I've got my eye on a set of HD headlights to start, and I'm gonna go with the 05-07 grill. Undecided on chrome or body color for the grill. Does anyone have a pic of a chestnut Ex with body color 05-07 grill? Local CL has a new in box OEM paintable grill for $100. I'm also planning on replacing the paddle mirrors with tow mirrors. 08 if I can find them for a decent price. There's a new OEM set on CL for $300. I may just grab those.

The window issue is with one of the rear vent windows. I was backing up the driveway and heard a "pop". It was the operator mechanism breaking lose from the glass. I didn't suspect it would be too hard to fix. I lightly sanded the mating surfaces, cleaned them, and glued with 3300 psi gorilla epoxy. I put a suction cup on the glass and pulled it tight to let the glue set. It held for about a day and popped lose again. Any recommendations on that?

Thanks in advance.

Not a bad idea at all. I'll have to take it down to the dealership and get a quote.

Hey hey. Always great to meet another Ex owner!

I just won a set of OEM 05 HD lights on ebay for $19.99! They're used but in great shape. I'll hit them with a little polish and spray a UV coating on them and should be good to go.

Got more info on the '08 mirrors from the seller. They're not OEM afterall. So that $300 price isn't so good.

Well, I've got an appointment at the Ford dealership tomorrow so we'll see what they can do with that window.
