Computer Question

My truck seemed to wake up at 2500 miles (2016 F250 XLT 4x4). It seems to have power when I need it and gets excellent fuel economy even when towing, (15 empty/13 towing) excellent for the 6.2L. I spoke to Ford on this and the dealer says that the computer adjusts and gets used to the way I drive. Is that true? Just curious nothing critical.

The computer does go through a learning process. As to how long it takes to do this differs between owners.

I hope my fuel economy improves. I have 1200 miles. But I knew mine would suck when I got it.

Michael a large part of my fuel economy even when towing is that I baby my truck also. I rarely go over 70 on the highway empty or towing. Usually stay around 60 empty and towing. When I have needed the extra power though the truck has given it to me no problem and no hesitation.

I'm a 70-75 mph driver when I'm on the interstate. Most of my driving is in a downtown metro area.

Yeah anything after 60 you may have well have IV drip with fuel connected to the truck. I don't see your fuel economy going up unless the mph's go down...lol. In my personal opinion your parts will wear out faster also, but just my opinion.

Yes, it is true
It's the primary reason there's such a variance in so many Power and Mileage reports ..
Its like comparing Grandpa vs Teenage
