Old Ford Comes to the Rescue of a Chevrolet
Melody stopped by the tanning salon on the way home from work. She said everything would come on but that her Trail Blazer wouldn't start. Since my tool box was in the back of the '69 Ranger, I got in it and drove to where she was.
I checked the battery voltage and it was good. I checked/cleaned the battery connections and some ground connections. I also noticed she was on a steep hill in the parking lot. After I got done with the connections, I got in the Trail Blazer, turned the key on, pushed the brake pedal down and pulled the gear selector out of park, down into 1st, back to park and hit the key. VRRROOOMM! --success!
Melody was sitting in the passengers side of my truck while I was working on her vehicle. When it started, I looked over at her and said, "Who's still the man?" She said, "you are, baby." and I said, "You know that's right." LOL.
....now, to pick back up where I left off before I got the phone call and had to go make the rescue run --back to straightening up in my shop. I have a job for hire coming up this Friday evening. The guy I bought my truck from is bringing me his truck ('72 F100) so that I can convert it over to power front disc brakes. This will help add to the 'redo the '69 Ranger interior project fund.'

She bought it before we were married. But then, I like all kinds of vehicles. I've just always driven Fords.

No light sabres. Just magical wrenches with mystic powers bestowed upon them from coming in contact with machines bearing the marque of the Blue Oval.

One thing I've learned, it really doesn't matter what badge/logo is on the grille of a vehicle. It's a machine and if the machine is being used, it's eventually going to have problems. --Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, (insert any other name), --ALL of them.

It's not as though the Ford did anything. He could have rode his bicycle. It's a good thing I still have my Suburban or getting the old F150s and Taurus' home would have been a chore. I finally got rid of all my Fords (except for my 72 F100) and switched to Hondas. Now I can't remember where my tools are.
