I _really_ wanted green gem. I happen to like magnetic, too, but Green Gem is soooo much prettier imo. I remember talking to dealers who said every dealer has a green truck they can't sell, so I guess there weren't too many of us. I figured that having it on the 150 would keep it an option... too bad they couldn't let us order it. It'd be nice if we could go ask ford to make 5 trucks in a VSO color that are otherwise totally different.
There is always the option of putting a green wrap on the truck. They look great and can be removed if needed in the future.
Novel Idea. But I think I will leave the wraps to the Waterfront Tavern and others. Nothing beats the deep shine of a clear coated dark green truck, freshly waxed and ready to roll.
I saw a gem green F150 at the dealer yesterday. I had to be close to it at the right angle to tell it wasn't black - and it was sunny out.
I really like the look of the ruby red and was leaning towards monotone which looks great online. I checked out an F150 in person with this option and it looked like too much red in person - back to two tone...
The lesson for me is that you really need to check out the colors in person. I need to see the brunello platinum leather before deciding on Plat or KR. The brunello looks very red in the YouTube walkaround videos, but I hear it looks more brown in person. I'll check out an F150 platinum with this interior next week. Then all I need is to know the SRW GVWR and I can order. (SRW or DRW... 12,300 SRW GVWR or higher and a SRW it is.)
So what are all these new 2017's doing that we keep seeing pics of? I live near ann arbor and i see at least two-three truck loads of brand new 2017's heading north on US 23 per week. My guess is these trucks are all going to dearborn to be used as company use vehicles for high up Ford employees? they seem to be churning quiet a few out alrerady... hope thats an indication of whats to come. Also, the dealer my company order my 2017 from said they should have some 2017 "demos" in later this month, what does that mean?
Maybe ford will do something like sending a demo or 2 to some of their higher volume dealers for a day or 2 around the country.
Most likely the case, especially considering the dealer we ordered from is high volume, and a matter of 15 min drive from FoMoCo head quarters in dearborn.
As for the red vehicle color, i have always said i would never own a red vehicle but the ruby red mettellic being more of a maroon really catches my eye. I was plesently surprised that my fleet manager let me order such a well optioned truck this go round, especialy the $395 up charge for the color. They must love me. Cant wait to get the truck, with the nice new red Western MVP pro pus V plow on front
I love Ruby Red. Saw it on a 2015 Mustang and love it.
Here is a F350 King Ranch CC picture I received in White Gold/Caribou. Not exactly my truck but this is my color combo. Actual picture makes the WG/C look pretty good. I know this is almost an exact match to many of the orders here I have seen.
Is diesel going to be the only option in 450/550? I tried to build a 450 just to see and the v10 is not even listed and it wouldn't let me select the 6.2. I don't like that because I was considering a 550 cab/chassis for a dump truck in another year or two, but I'm done with diesels.
