When I start my stock 97 7.3 f350 and it is not completely warmed up before I move. It will only do 2100 rpms in neutral. It is completely gutless in drive and blows black smoke if you push down on the throttle. But once the temp guage gets up to the N in normal range I let it back to an idle and then you can hear it clear. Then it revs up to redline and full power like nothing is wrong at all. Any help would be appreciated
Is the exhaust back pressure valve still plugged in? If so unplug it and see if the problem goes away. There is a 2 wire plug located under the turbo that controls the EBV that you unplug.
