Ok my truck has white smoke untill it is warm and then it goes away
It is using oil but not much
after i drive it about 60 miles it starts to smoke again
when i am driving my oil pressure is great even at idle when cold it is good
but once it gets warm the oil pres is good while driving and then when i stop it drop off the guage and it won't get back up to the same pressure as it was before i stoped once i resume driving
can ya'll help me?
what could it be?
i'm pretty sure
when i hit the throttle it puffs alittle black puff and then when it idles it will slightly puff white smoke
could it be the head gasket?
If I recall correctly (someone please verify this), I think that if the diaphram on the vacuum modulator for some automatic transmissions is leaking, it will cause tranny fluid to go into the intake and produce white smoke. If you have an automatic tranny might be worth a check. Some trannys had vacuum modulator even in the '90s (wife's '92 Aerostar).
My sister had a blown head gasket (3.8 V6) and the mechanic said, "yep, radiator hose was hard as a rock within minutes of firing it up."

change the oil when the motor is cold all the mositure will come out first . i could be head gasket , warped head or lightly cracked clynder wall. only one way to tell do a compresson test
