Are there softer ones for the rear? All I've seen is FF
The higher rated leaf packs have an upper overload spring in the pack. I don't know what the code or weight rating is, but I'd love to get a set on my 250 for a heavy 5th wheel setup. I'm also curious as to what trucks came from the factory with 5200lb springs as they are a hard to find spring...
Another dead end...if you look at the link there is info for the first few springs listed but by the time you get to mine (J) on the next page there is no info at all......
I have the 4800# springs but will soon add an aftermarket bumper that weighs about 250#. The ride right now is pretty good; a bit mushy but not bad. I'm thinking the 5600# springs may be too stiff, even with the bumper. Anybody have the 5200# springs vs the 5600# springs to comment?
I think the 5200# springs come stock on the diesel. I changed to the 6000# springs on my old diesel and even with the aftermarket bumper I had on that truck it was harsh.
Just had new coils installed. I replaced my V code 4800# springs with T code 5200# springs purchased new from Ford. I found them on parts.com for the best price of about $100 each.
The ride difference is noticeable but not harsh at all. When I get my aftermarket bumper on I think it will be just right. The 5200# springs raised the front end 3/4" over the 4800# springs.
I will post my 4800# springs for sale if anyone is interested. They have 28k miles on them.
I have them but since the heavy springs make it ride like the thing has triangle wheels I am thinking about going back to stock with an air bag setup for carrying the plow
What was your final setup? I am looking for a 2011 or 2012 and most have 4800 lb springs. The 2011 I have now has the snow plow pkg and 6000 lb springs. I may go with 5600 lb since we don't get a tremendouse amount of snow here.
I recently replaced the 6000# springs with 5200# springs. I honestly did not see any drop. The truck still looks level; maybe they have to settle in some. Ride is only marginally better.
I'm fairly certain my springs are #100,000 lb based on ride quality! (actually they are 6k) My '01 V10 rode like a town car compared to this '13, but I have camper, tow and snow plow packages on my current truck and the '01 only had tow.
