1994 F250 mutant build

I bought a 94 Ford f250 mutant. It has a 7.3 IDIT that had a head gasket blow. The guy pulled the heads off and was going to rebuild, but was too costly and time consuming. The guy says it was on cylinder 4. He also said that there was oil in the coolant not coolant in the oil if that matters. Is there an easy way to find out if the cylinder walls are good. I won't be mad if I can't rebuild the block for the truck. I have a few 5.0 set ups from 94 I can put in until I get an idi build to put back in. Plus the truck was originally a 7.5 gasser, but has been swaped to a diesel half way. The reason I say half way is it still has all the gasser stickers under hood, in gas fill area and coil spring suspension up front. The pink says it's registered diesel so that means no smog. I might have to run it gas for a year, until I build the idi. If I can find a running idi for a decent price I'll just put that in. I also want to put leaf springs up front.

All 2wd f250s of this era had coil springs in the front.
Running idi engines go for $500-1000. I bought a complete running 2wd truck with a bad trans for $900.

dont the larger, Fsuperdutys, with 10 lug run a straight axle?

altho i would not be running this.

if i were the OP, i would be looking for 05+ SD 4WD axles and leave the front coil springs.

Why suspect the cylinder wall? Oil in the coolant is usually oil cooler seals, due to the oil being at a higher pressure(20-40) than the coolant(13-ish). Might be able to just clean it, put a new head gasket and head studs(if you're going to all the trouble to be in there anyway, go for studs so you can handle more power), and run it.
