Ford Fleet had been listing SD trucks at 10-12 weeks I believe for the 2016. Sometimes it is faster, sometimes much longer. Most dealers seem to quote 6-8 weeks, which I think is overly optimistic, but just sign here and I'll talk my way out of it when the time comes.
That would put some guys getting there rigs sometime in Aug I think "best case".
Someone in the know said these trucks was gonna ship out quicker and he didn't explain why but at the rate there going now I believe it.
On another note I will have loaded Lariat F350 with less than 7K for sale..
I just ordered a 17 450 and the dates I got are. Production begins July 11 for retail orders. With stock orders starting after July shutdown. According to my dealer all July allocations are gone and my May 23 order. Will build in August or September with an October delivery. My current status is unscheduled/clean.
yes I think that's the okay to ship I've been seeing. Of course Ok to ship means they're in production with no issues and they are in fact okay to ship... so it's a goal, not a set date. I thought the OP was asking a more general question about the length of time under normal production conditions.
Could be. His question could be taken either way. That said, if OK to ship is still Aug 15th, it really doesn't matter if your truck is built on July 11th or August 14th. It won't be available to ship out to your dealer until Aug 15th either way.
