I recently purchased a 2000 7.3l 4x4 Excursion that the previous owner had lifted 6". I can still see the part numbers on the leafs and they come back as procomp springs. Well it's sitting down 2" in the front and i'm trying to get it leveled up. It has pro comp #23311 (6" lift) rear springs along with a block, and #22410 (4" lift) springs up front. I'm clearing the 35,12.50's fine but i just want it to be leveled. I contacted pro comp and they said they make a 6.5" front spring for the F250's #22610 but they say it wont work with the Ex. I thought it should though. Anyone ever run into this or have any other ideas about leveling it. I'd like to stay with Leafs only no shackle kits.
I know you said no shackle kits, what do you have against them? I've been running a 2" drop hanger kit from Icon for the past two years with no issues.
anyhow, if it were me I would either lift 2" by using the 22610 the front or lower the rear 2" by using a different block. depends on the tire size or overall look desired.
They said due to different hanger configurations the 22610 would not work, but i believe the 250 and ex have the same hangers. I'd really like to raise the front keeping the rear where it is for the desired height. I may just try them from amazon, 140 bucks a set with free shipping and easy returns if they don't fit.
I don't know who "they" is but me thinks they are not well informed or understanding of what constitutes "fit" will they work with stock shocks ? no , of course not. but they will certainly fit.
They as in ProComp, but they must be wrong. I'm just hoping it won't lift it too much, the 23311 springs are superduty 6" springs making it 8" for the EX with the factory block. So the 6.5" 22610 superduty springs should lift the front 8.5" from stock making it much closer to level. I think I'll try them from amazon for $140 a side and see what happens.
Thanks!
