Just changed the IPR for one from riffraff with the edge filter. The one ford sold me does not have the edge filter. I think I can rule the IPR out . Again it was a easy start after the change. will injector
o-rings cause random no start?

Sounds like something electrical. Do you have a chip? Have you checked the 42pin connector to make sure the wires are not rubbed thru from the driver side valve cover? Do you have a buddy with a truck like yours so you can test PCM and IDM with his to see if the problem goes away?

No chip, 60 hp tune from DP. I do have a spare idm and pcm. So this does not sound like o-rings? (Back later off to work) Thanks again

z31freakify thanks for your help. Got in the truck and started fine. I will keep changing parts till I find something I guess. I don't know. Had hopes some more people would chime in with a possible solution .

I have been following this and am a bit confused. It sounds like since you replaced the IPR it has been starting fine. Is this not correct? Issue solved?

If its an injector oring take a few minutes and take the valve covers off after the oil temperature is up to running temp. Look at each injector and make sure there is not oil gurgling around the injector body up into the head. This will signify the upper ring has failed bleeding pressure off when hot. Pressure is bled typically when hot and not cold when the rings swell.

If the lower rings are going it will bypass into the fuel. Even in a complete lower ring failure I have seen trucks run completely fine untill you loose 7-8 qts of oil into your fuel at 30 miles and she shuts down.

To me it sounds like the issue is fixed? No? What is still causing problems. I typically see the ICP at 14.08 on a good sensor at idle....

Monitor your oil pressure when its causing ssue...this will tell us more. The fact you had a CPS code I would change it out for cheap insurance. The CPS can be a hell of a gremlin. It will also alter shift points in an auto trans.

The issue was still there as of 2 days ago. Sense i am working I have not had a chance to run it. Using a different truck for work this week. I will at the end of the week. I put a new ipr from ford in it last week and the random no start still happened. The one from ford did not have the edge filter. With the hard start 2 days ago I replaced the IPR again with one from riffraff with the edge filter. When there is a no start it may be on a cold engine or hot. just random. I have a new icp on the way and a new pig tail for the IPR on the way. I will get those on this weekend and see if it leaves me stranded again. New ford cps installed before the last hard start. If it does it again I will pull the valve covers. It does not use oil. Thanks. I will let you know when or if it quits again.

My icp on two ae runs at idle were 12.11 and 12.89. When i get my new icp I will run ae again and see. That is less than your 14.08.

ran AE again with no codes. Changed the icp and truck started twice easy and then a no start again. I checked the oil in the pump reservoir and it is full to the top. Looked like it was burping bubbles . What next?

You have to get a gauge to monitor oil pressure. If your hpop is full and the AE shows ICP pressure then I would guess your LPOP oil pump is good.
