70 MPH Whistle
Beautiful day here in the North East.
I run a 2013 F250 SD 6.7 with 70K on it. I love my truck
, but recently it has developed a "whistle" coming up on 70mph. Starts in around 65-8 and "whistles" to about 75 mph. I have tried the eliminations of pushing every button, fan speed, dash vents open/closed, every position of the heater controls, coasting down hill and on level ground with idle rpm's in neutral thinking maybe a turbo issue, but none of these effected the noise ???
My next try was going to stuff towels in non burnable locations in the engine compartment to try to change the air flows to see if that made a difference, but haven't yet.
I am wondering if anyone has come across this or heard about it.
Any help is appreciated. PLMK
Thank You, Bruce
Tried cracking the rear window?
Tried using blue tape around all the door seals? If it silences it, you've got door closer or weatherstrip adjusting to do. The top pillar edge on both front doors gets outta whack pretty easy.
Remove radio antenna?
Sunroof seal?
Tonneau cover? Mine whistles when folded open.
Air vents on rear of center console open?
Just some ideas.
