yeah wife can't squeeze the door openers either , Her nails get in the way .
So no worries of her ever claiming Pebbles for real .
I had a problem on my truck where the interior door handles had to be squeezed really hard to open the doors --especially on the drivers side. When I put the new door panels on last year and had the interior door handles off, I noticed there was a burr on the protrusion sticking out off of the interior handle assembly. I took a file and removed this burr and applied a little white lithium grease before I reinstalled the handles.
Now, it only takes very light pressure squeezing on the interior handles to open the doors. The burr on the passenger side was also making it hard to close that door without having to slam it two or three times before that door would shut. Now, the door closes very easily without having to slam it.
I used to have to squeeze really hard on the interior door handle with BOTH hands to get my drivers side door open. After I filed the burr off the worn spot on the back of the interior handle, the door opens now just by applying light pressure with my thumb on the arm rest and my index finger squeezing on interior handle. It's crazy that that little burr would make it that hard to operate the handle and how easy it is now with that problem removed. Same for how easy it is now to be able to close the passenger side door. Who'd a thunk it?
