What did you do to your Super Duty today?

today I buttoned up the red head steering box, steering pump, water pump, lower rad hose and radiator with internal trans cooler install. everything was straight forward with no problems.
I also bit the bullet and flushed the engine 3 times with distilled water and switched over to zerex G-05 gold coolant.
the steering is so tight and responsive now. it feels better than when the truck was new in 2000

ABSOLUTELY!!!! My steering feels so solid now. before I would have to anticipate a over correction coming out of turns on the freeway.
I was always worried about being pulled over for driving drunk because I was all over the road and it always took a few miles to get re used to driving the thing. LOL

I took it in for an oil change and inspection. I found out it needs a lower ball joint on one side and front shocks on both. I called my extended warranty company and both are covered, so the Ford dealer is working out the details.
On the way home, I was going about 45mph and saw a truck coming towards me, hugging the yellow line. I went over to the right as far as I could without hitting the car in the other lane, but the oncoming truck still tagged my driver's side mirror. What a frigging loud noise that thing made. I pulled over as soon as I could but the other driver never came back. The main glass is OK but the housing and the lower mirror are both trashed. There's a small gouge in the door panel where the plastic chunk hit it.
I'm leaving for a camping trip to Key West on Saturday, and I hope the mirror stays together. I've checked CL and the local pick and pulls and there aren't any to be had around here. If anyone here is in the Wilmington, NC area and has a good power/heated/signal mirror for an '05 F-350, please PM me.

My 2012 F250 got broke into awhile ago and they did a good job on the driver side lock cylinder finally got around to fixing it. Picked up a lock cylinder from Ford and after watching a YouTube video for rekeying the cylinder it was really easy to do. After getting out the old cylinder and taking it a part to see what #s where on the tumblers then rebuilt new one. It actually took more time taking the door apart and getting the old cylinder out than to rebuild new lock cylinder.
Now all I have to do is figure out what they did to the horn. It doesn't work since then and all the fuses appear to be good.

My steering wasn't bad in my diesel truck but my stock box was making a "click" at full lock left. I found a new/used cordone box and bought it cheap. Like you said, "wow". I thought my truck was steering good before! This is an improvement everybody should do

I have a 16' F350 C/C 4wd Dually 6.7 Lariat Ultimate.
I bought it in September to carry a soon to be purchased Cab-Over Camper,
more than likely Lance 1172. The last of the Camper Hardware arrived today.
I'm using Happijac front and Torklift rear Tie-Downs. Helwig Air Bags, Helwig
Big-Wig front and rear Sway bars along with Bilstein 5100's. I've chosen to hard mount a Viair Compressor and a small tank to handle my air needs. So .. it seems I've got my work cut out for me for the next week or ..
