Not Starting
Well...I went out to start up the truck...1993 F-150 I-6, manual transmission for the back story. Insert the key, push in the clutch, turn the key and...nothing but a heavy, single "click"...not the usual higher pitched solenoid "rattling click"...I replaced the solenoid anyway and still nothing except the heavy single click. My lights and other battery functions are working and the amps meter swings between the usual indicator lines. Given that this is the second issue I've had in two moths (A/C compressor clutch froze up and had to remove it) I'm actually getting a bit fed up with the truck and strongly considering putting it out to pasture. My question therefore is..."does this truck have a "clutch safety switch" and if so, please advise as best you can...thanks.

My bro loves to jump mine with a screwdriver. It doesn't require the use of clutch pedal and mine is a 95, so I doubt yours needs the clutch pedal switch either.
Just short circuit the solenoid. May not be your problem, but good to have in your bag of diag tricks.
