I just found a 1964 Mercury Montclair's steering column for cheep, to put in my 56 F100, but it's missing the Automatic Transmission indicator (not the pointer that's made on the column) and the nuts and bolts that hold the piece that houses the signal switch and horn button (those really hard to install bolts with the square heads). It looks like in Internet pictures the indicator has a bezel that wraps around the PRND1 clear piece, not sure if it's all one piece or not. If it's two then I need both part numbers.i can't find any parts to speak of on the net???
I like the column because it also has a light under the indicator so if the dash lights are on you can see what gear you're in.
If someone could post a steering column diagram for the 64 Montclair I'd really appreciate it too.
Thanks for the help in advance. Numberdummy, Numberdummy where forth art thou Numberdummy?
Found a repair & parts CD at RockAuto for 25 bucks. Even with the CD the cost of this Column will be under $100. No tilt but I can live with that.
Tore what wasn't torn up in the junk yard apart today. Am cleaning, priming, and painting to match the platinum gray inside my truck.
