97 Aerostar Check Eng. O2 sensor slow response help
Just came back from the emissions test and they read out the code for my check engine light. It says Code P0133 (O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response [Bank 1 Sensor 1]). My guess is that I should try changing the O2 Sensor, but I dont know where it is located or which one to buy. Could someone point me in the right direction in either solving this problem or finding the location of the O2 sensor? This code came from my 97 Aerostar XLT 3.0L w/ 72000 miles.
By the way, it passed the emssions test, but the emissions seem to smell a bit funky. And the light goes on and off depending on what brand of gasoline I use (at least I think it is correlated to the gasoline brand). It appears to go off when used with Shell gas, but stays on with others Mobil or BP (Amoco), etc.
