I have a 2003 F250. They had no navigation, etc., but I just picked up a new (2014) Lincoln MKS with navigation. The screen is similar to what I have seen in the newer Super Duties--The navigation, the radio, and the climate controls are all on this one screen. My problem is keeping the screen clean. It gets fingerprints and a lot of dust on it. I wash my hands, and 2 minutes later---FINGERPRINTS !!! I bought a cleaning kit especially made for flat screen TV's and automotive navigation screens---It cleans the fingerprints and dust well, but it leaves a haze on the screen that I can only remove by rubbing my hand on it---More FINGERPRINTS !!! What have you discovered that works well !!!
I believe the only thing you're supposed to use is a damp cloth. The screen is plastic, and chemicals could damage the screen. I've never owned a vehicle with MFT before, so perhaps someone who's tried something different will chime in. Ford doesn't recommend anything other than water though.
I just used a damp cloth, or if something got stuck to the screen some glass lense cleaner packets. With the touch screens, fingerprints are a fact of life.
When I picked up my truck, the dealer gave me a blue Microfiber cloth in a pouch with dealership's name on it. (Along with a dealer-labeled key chain, and trash bag.) It's the same as the cleaning cloth that came with my new eyeglasses, just 3x bigger. They said to only use it, as other cloths/paper towels could be coarse and scratch the screen.
It does a reasonable job of cleaning displays when it's dry (use it on my phone too), but there've been times when I've really "schmucked" up the screen and had to wet the cloth to get rid of goopy/greasy fingerprints. Had a haze after wet cleaning, and just went back and polished the screen with the dry section of the cloth to rub off the haze.
What I have done on my 2106 Fusion and 2015 F350, both with the 8" Nav radios, is buy the oversize tablet screen protectors and cut to fit the radios. This allows me to use cleaners or even dry micro-fiber rags to wipe off the prints. I don't have to be as particular about scratching the screen with the protector.

I was thinking about that, but how do you put something that big on without getting wrinkles. I have one on one of my digital cameras, but the screen is only 2 X 3.
You do it very carefully. I know that sounds like I am giving you a flaky answer but is how I did it. Also, I used some powder free latex gloves so I would not leave finger prints as I put it on. I worked it a little at a time to get the bubbles out. I did end up with a couple tiny bubbles that aren't noticeable unless you look for them
