Thanks BIGRED460; it seems they have clarified a few things.
I'm guessing because I have the upfitters, 110V outlet, and plow pack that my truck has dual alternators.
May 26 was the order selection day, right?

I think a lot of people found it gawdy and off-putting. Kind of like installing raised letters which stated "I H A V E M O N E Y"
The Platinum is still clearly no work truck, and discernible to those who know by the grille, the tailgate, and wheels. I prefer a little more class than those bedside letters, but I also understand those who are proud of their investment and want to let people know.

I loved the lettering on my f-350 Platinum just as I loved the lettering on my Harley Davidson edition f-150. On the same note I absolutely hate the fx4 sticker on the side. Definitely disappointing news.
Edit: just checked order guide and see at least they don't put the FX4 decal on the Platinum. At least until they change they guide again.

Says removed from standard package, may still be able to order the lettering. Wait and see I guess.

You could always order if from your Ford dealer or an online Ford dealer and install yourself if it's important to you. $100 and your problem is solved...

There was 1 side of me that was looking forward to them on the bed but I can understand the whole obstacle when waxing too.
Here is where I settled in after thinking about this change... I would rather it be there. I won't be ordering the letters after the fact. If it's an option and my order isn't locked in I might throw it in the mix.
Not going to lose sleep over it but minorly peeved over it.
