As I understand it the Toyota steering box from 79 - early 84 will work . My question is how do you tell an early 84 from a late model 84 ? I found an 84 that is being parted out so I would like to find out before I buy something that won't work . Thanks

The box you want has 2 sets of mounting holes, one set on each side of the pitman arm shaft:



As I understand it, the late '84 boxes are longer, thinner and have a different mounting setup.
