I've been lurking on these forums for a while now and have been looking for the right Excurusion to pull my travel trailer and haul my family of 6 for about a year. I finally found one about three weeks ago, only 10 miles away. It's a garage kept 2004 Limited. 53k miles, no body rust and nearly no rust underneath, not a single door ding or flaw in the interior. I would've preferred 4.30 gears for towing, but compromised that in the short term due to everything else this truck offered.
I've had it for three days now, tinkering and shaking it down and getting used to the larger size compared to my previous vehicle, '05 Sequoia. First camping trip this weekend - can't wait.
Thanks to all for all of the great information this forum provided me so far, and I look forward to contributing in the future.
Welcome! Always loved that color! Good find with the cleanliness and mileage......and lack of rust. Yes 4.30's are great for heavier trailers and you could always swap those out later. Try it for now and see how it does.
Welcome! Nice looking Ex. What engine did you score?
Warning: This site is addictive. Side effects include the overwhelming desire to spend money, lift envy, a compulsion to find something to "fix", skimming but not really "reading" posts 😜, and a new found "need" to own just one more Excursion.
Nice find! That is a sweet looking EX, V-10 I assume since you mentioned the 4.30 gear thoughts. What is the weight of your TT? You might be OK with the 3.73s if the weight isn't too much.

Welcome to the addic....I mean....Club!
I've quoted "The Unquestioned V10 Tow Master" Tom. He's one of the most experienced towing with the V10 and just in general. He's also rightfully lord over all he surveys in the "Towing Forum".

Nice find! Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of good people and a lot of good information here. I grew up around your area many moons ago. I'd go ahead and get those 4:30s to navigate all of the hills up there. I was lucky as the previous owner of my Ex had already upgraded mine.
