Kick down linkage interchangeable between motors?
So, im tryimng to pay it forward to a fellow fte member that did me a favor and im not using my lkick down so i was going to let him have it.
i have the 302/2bbl/c6
he has the 400/2bbl/c6
It looks like we are good from the carb end and tranny end but not sure if there is a difference in length from the carb back till it pivots down? Anyone got some insight into if the linkage is interchangeable from different size motors?

1975 F100 302 would have come with a C4 .. 302 not available w/a C6 until 1978, but the C4 was also available 1978/79.
Kickdown rod shown as 7A187 in upper pic.
1973/75 F100 & 1975 F150 302/C4 different than 1977 and 1978 F100/150 302/C4 before serial number BE0,001.
1978/79 F100/150 302/C6 is different again.
351M/400/C6 uses a different kickdown rod than 302/360/390/460.

bob and I were just talking about you and we said, if anyone here would know, it would be you..lol
thanks for the quick response. Well, that stinks. We were hoping they would be interchangeable..
