Gotta be a new record...

Very interesting. Since my truck is a Job 1 2011 and I am on the verge of 100,000 miles, I have contemplated a pre-emptive strike to replace the valves and glow plugs in hopes of insuring another 100-150k trouble free miles. This option is certainly cheaper than a long block replacement or a 2017 replacement!

I wouldn't take it quite at face value without more details. How would the dealer know if the engine was replaced by someone else? Or tuned, deleted, and brought back to stock for the trade? Of course this dealer could have been doing his bi-weekly oil changes, but most trucks that get that many miles don't stay in one location.
Cool to see they can go that long though!

Would be great to see the complete service record to see if there were any tricks done to help achieve the mileage. I'd like to know so I can do them too.
I'm guessing one of the biggest "tricks" was keeping it running...no chance for cold starts. Plus this truck at only 5 years old had no time for age induced issues or road salt corrosion. You can get more service out of rubber, plastic, and metal if you don't let it just sit around oxidizing. For instance, tire companies say to not use tires past a certain age even if they've been stored on a shelf .
Anybody know what model this truck is? It's hard for me to imagine a situation where racking up this kind of miles on a pickup would make sense. If was used for payload or towing I'd want a bigger truck to make less trips.

I'm with you Scott... They threw a LOT of parts at this truck. With 619k on it, I would be interested to know what wore out first in the suspension...
I don't recall ever hearing of a 2WD truck with death wobble - so my assumption would be that it was a 4WD..
