Hey everyone.I could use some help here.A buddy of mine bought a truck from Mass. a few years ago and the title is from 1982.It was only singed with no other info filled in.
There is a section on the title that says,

subscribed by me under the penalties of false statement at _____________ this,
the_____day of,19___.

I understand where the date goes,but I am unclear what should be filled in the other blank.Any help would be great.He wants to put it on the road soon and he doesn't want any hassles at DMV.He is located in NY.

I believe as long as it is signed the date stuff doesn't matter..

They want the sale date, price and current odometer reading

Also if he is registering in NY it would depend on their rules not MA

 

Prob the city - village - town - whatever.

 

That would be for a Notary's endorsement.

MA doesn't require that a title be notarized...not sure about NY. MA doesn't even have a spot to notarize titles anymore. Check the NY DMZ website...you should be able to find out if it needs to be done.
