Question: I have a 2003 F 350 7.3L Crew Lariet SLW.
Can I replace 16" stock wheels and tires with 2008 (or around there) 20"
wheels as it appears the bolt patterns are the same. ?????? If so would this effect handling and or other related issues? I have front level (extra leaf) so not sure if enough room either.
as long as they are the same bolt pattern and off set pattern (i think thats the name) and same or similar type year range you should be ok, what truck are the wheels coming off of?
Your '03 has more negative offset to clear leaf springs, assuming the '08 wheels are from another 8 lug F-series. I think you would need to run a spacer, and then consider the amount they'll stick out. I remember a similar question asked a while back, so a search would give you a more definite answer. It seemed like too much fussing with it to make it work, given the price of the spacer and lugs.
Yes and no. In 2004 ford released an 18" wheel... For one year only and only as a special order or stock for King Ranch and Harley editions. To use a newer rim, you will need "hub centric" wheel spacers. Steel spacers are recommended.
I have a link in my signature to help with 2004 options. Ford had a major suspension change in 2005 with the coil over front suspension. That changed the geometry of the truck. Hope this helps
