You might have to remove the trim surround piece (it is the lens side marker end piece, (phillips head screw and unbend a small crimp) and then slide the new metal brackets down from the open end....

Ordered 10 of them on JBG. Should be here next week. Pretty confident they'll stay on though. Going to fasten them on the trim first. Make sure they're really really on there. Then drill holes and tighten it on with that nut. I'll let ya know how it comes out. Thanks for the help
Don't think you will be able to reach all the nuts under the bedside. That is why there were only 2 to start with. When I installed mine recently I had to squeeze the trim a little so it would snap on the plastic clips firmly. If the trim is sprung open a little, it will not grab the plastic clip like it should. The two stud clips shown in LMC diagrams will hold the trim on. The two black dots in the diagram show where the stud clips go. Worked for me.

I actually tried to squeeze the trim as well. Got everything on there tight. And had me and another person fasten the trim. Thanks for the input. I will check this once I get home.

If you do use all stud clips there is a slot in the trim to insert the clips without taking rear trim piece off.
