I have seen plenty complain. When I checked mine it was almost 2 mpg off. That made me change spark plugs. Several were out of tolerance but all looked good. I gapped all the new ones to the minimum tolerance so they had room to grow as they wear. Now my Lie-O-Meter is incredibly accurate. In both MPG and gallons used. Makes me wonder.....
Do you think Lie-O-Meter can be used as a gauge for spark plug replacement? How bad are your lying and how many miles do you have on your plugs?
My 2015 F350 has 7000 miles on it and I am always quite taken by how close that computes the gas mileage. Its always withing or less then one mile per gallon off. my truck gets crap for mileage but I dont care about that and didnt purchase it for mileage
I found this OOPS, in the tools section, under spark plugs.
Figure 4. The plug on the left is covered in deposits and will not work as well as the new plug on the left.
This should read "As well as the new plug on the right".
My old 04 F150 3v 5.4 I could get upwards of 26 mpg hwy, now I'm lucky to see 16 on my 6.2.
16! down hill with a tail wind engine off and a wrecker attached to the front bumper?
Ive never seen more than 13. Avg 10-12 mixed driving. 60K on an 11, 6.2, super cab, short box with OEM plugs. Maybe I should start doin the math to see if my lie-o-meter is truly lieing.

Meh, the only time I see 16 is when I reset and am running a long distance trip. I average just over 12 the rest of the time. My last trip rom NorCal to Utah I ended up with a 14 average for the entire 1700 mile trip. That was lightly loaded and not towing.
