I decided to put my dome light on the back under the rear window in between the seat backs.
It is so tight in the cab I decided to use an arm rest with only one cup holder built out of thick wall square tubing with wood top. May add another for the passinger on the right kick-wall some day.

Looks nice Bill! For upper-level lights I went with a GM rear-view mirror that has lights built in. I imagine your light's location will do a pretty good job.
Thanks, the arm rest stand is covered in black.
I just could not figure out how to hang the light on the top using an ABS headliner.

Bill, I added a donor Ford pickup truck overhead light working from the F-1 center cab roof screw receiver (the U shaped clip originally spot welded to the underside of the cab roof). I inserted a ground to a point screw in that hole and then fit up the ABS headliner and pushed it up to make a mark on the backside of the headliner. I then created a backing plate that accepted the donor truck light. I would not say that it was easy but not really all that difficult. Unfortunately I took no pictures.
What you did was certainly much easier.
