Finally pulled the trigger
Been hanging out on this site for quite some time. I cant begging to tell you all how helpful some of these threads have been. After much debating and consideration i have finally pulled the trigger and purchased a 2000 ford excursion. It has the very small 5.4 but since i dont plan on towing anything w it it will due. It needs some work but for the price of 1200 dlls i couldnt pass up that deal. Found it in some ones back yard, had not been moved in 4 yrs but after installing a new battery and some fresh gas it started right up. Wish me luck

Good luck and welcome to the club. Our friends at 1a auto can help you get started with new head lights and towing mirrors , those paddle mirrors "got to go", (my opinon). Sounds like you got a great deal on your EX, how many miles on it, what's the trim level, remember the FTE members love to help spend your money. 💰💰
