Again, thank you very much for the model numbers and status of the parts. I just bought this truck and had no idea that these parts would be hard to find.
I had my shift stick welded with SS rod then recut the slot with a file.
I had gone to a truck repair shop that had also sold used parts and then they wanted $50 bucks for an old used one.
And this was in the late 90s that when I got it welded.

Thanks to this cool website (ford trucks.com) I was able to locate a company that makes this part new. I talked to Brad at Novak-adapt.com today. They make two versions of this shifter, one at 3-1/8" and one at 3-1/2" finger length (distance from the ball to bottom?). They also offer a top cover rebuild kit. They seem very knowledgeable about the T18 top loader transmission.
I hope this helps someone else out there.
