Replacement Radiator woes
#16
The radiator replacement conversation has happened many times on this site. A Champion radiator purchased for my '76 F100,302v8,4 spd, was around $200( a couple years ago) and fit like a glove with no mods at all. In ALL the other threads that were started, the Champion radiators were apparently very well received. A local race car builder stated to me years ago that in curing a lot of overheating problems,he would go to an aluminum radiator for as much as 10 to 20 degrees more cooling. Do a search for these other threads and you will get a ton more info. Gary

I have been on the road and missed these responses. I ordered a direct replacement aluminum radiator from BeCool in 2010 and this is what I got. I sent this picture to BeCool and they agreed that it was not a direct replacement and agreed to take it back. (They said if I would ship my original radiator to them they would make aluminum one just like it for only $1000.00) I took my original to a local radiator shop and had it recored for a heck of a lot less. That was in 2010 and haven’t had a problem since.
