Hi Brian ,
I have a bad oil leak thinking its coming from the timing cover at the top next to the HPOP . Had a mechanic have ago at it but he failed ,so thinking taken it out would be the best way to fix it ...
while its out mite do some mods , get the turbo seviced aswell ,new DP ,new up pipes as mine are leaking , and a few other deletes while out..
do u no wer i can get a gasket kit from other then Ford ???
can you think of some modes i should do while its out ??

Is there oil in the valley at the front under the HPOP?
If so I suspect you my be leaking from what Ford call an "unserviceable" plug
in the bottom of the HPOP.
Apparently it is a common problem, I just had to fix mine.
The plug is serviceable if you do it right.
I can give you links to some PDFs and youtube videos about
the job if you think that might be the source of the leak.
As for parts, I get a lot of stuff from here:-

they have a huge range and good prices.

have u seen my engine build post. loooooots of pics. I have pulled the engine 3 times. There is 2 bleed holes at the back of the valley so any oil up top will run down back and sit around the sump lip.
I will bet yoour problem is up top. First thing to do is clean the heck out of the valley. Most common leak is the exhaust back pressure valve in the turbo pedestal
