Yeah, I'll be keeping mine for 20 years. I've been thinking about this purchase for more than 5 years. When I put my order in, I knew exactly what I wanted and why. It's good you have a sympathetic dealer. My salesman told me he'd be happy to make any changes I might want, but I told him I wouldn't have sat down to order unless I knew what I wanted.

Wanted to go for more but the rust is taking it all away. I replaced the box 5 years ago with a new takeoff from a '10 but the doors, fenders, lines, cab are all starting to go away. You might make 20 years with the aluminum but coat the frame and hardware with a good rustproofing oil such as Fluid Film which has been much touted here. I am going to try it this time even though I might look to trade at a much earlier date this time. I had to settle for the White Gold since some idiot at Ford decided green was not a saleable color any more. I predict green will be back on the docket in a year. I, like you, walked into the dealer knowing exactly what I wanted and thanks to this forum and some of the documents provided actually had a better handle on the order than did the sales girl, who has been excellent. I look forward to seeing your new one posted when it arrives. This forum is really going to bloat up with images when the long anticipated deliveries start arriving.
